NEW BUSINESS:

1) Discussed combining membership, public relations, website & communications to fall under one title of Communications.  Reason for: ease of communicating during the set up stages of membership brochure, web, etc.  Concern: at a later date as we grow it will remain one committee and one person will be overwhelmed.  Is changing the committee structure allowed under by-laws other than at the Annual Meeting?  Leslie will check with Richard Brown on this question.  Clark moved to combine membership, public relations, website & communications subject to clarification of by-law restrictions.  Motion seconded and approved

2) Business Breakfast – Tuesday, March 27, 8 am, Landmark on the Sound.  This will be a combined meeting with the Des Moines Business Committee of the South West King County Chamber.  Destination Des Moines will provide breakfast and give an update on what is going on.  Invitations will be mailed to businesses in the downtown area.  A survey will be compiled to get a feel for what each business is doing and what they would like to see to help enhance town.

3) Banners will be updated for Earth Day and be hung.

4) Speakers Bureau – Leslie will be speaking at the North Hill Community Club April 1.

5) Volunteer Bank – Would anyone be interested in setting this up – ask members you know.

6) Membership Drive Day – Set up on one of our regular meeting days.

ADDITIONAL BUSINESS:  Robinson News had started a Citizen Journalist program.  If you see anything that you think is newsworthy get information and take pictures and send to Robinson Newspapers.
